Software Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain thick client applications and APIs using C# and WPF.Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).Prepare, execute, and review test plans, test cases, and test reports.Support System Integration Testing (SIT), Operational Site Acceptance Testing (OSAT), and production deployment activities.Configure and prepare project laptops and workstations for testing and production environments.Troubleshoot software, database, and system integration issues.Prepare technical documentation and authority sign-off documentation.Develop and enhance VSS client functionalities, including:Customized Alarm ManagerAuthorization and management of Live View Preset ViewsCollaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and onsite personnel to ensure successful project delivery.Technical RequirementsMandatory SkillsStrong proficiency in C# .NET development.Strong proficiency in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) for thick client application development.Experience in API development and integration.Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), including database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.Experience in software testing methodologies and test documentation.Familiarity with system deployment, application configuration, and production support.Preferred SkillsUnderstanding of video streaming protocols.Experience with Milestone Video Management System (VMS).Knowledge of video surveillance, security, or command-and-control systems.Experience supporting SIT, UAT, OSAT, or site deployment activities.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Relevant software development experience in enterprise or mission-critical systems.Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and documentation abilities.Ability to work independently and at customer sites when required.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to manage multiple project activities and deadlines
