The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in NodeJS and PostgreSQL, along with a solid understanding of backend development principles.You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs. This role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and working closely with cross-functional teams to build reliable software products.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain robust backend applications and services using NodeJSBuild scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs and backend servicesDesign, develop, and optimize database schemas, queries, indexes, and transactions using PostgreSQLWrite clean, reusable, well-structured, and maintainable code following established engineering practicesIntegrate backend services with internal systems, third-party APIs, and other application componentsAnalyze application performance and troubleshoot production issues, bugs, and system bottlenecksImplement appropriate error handling, logging, monitoring, and validation across backend servicesParticipate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality, development standards, and engineering processesWork closely with frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutionsWrite and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and stabilityContribute to system design discussions and help build solutions that can scale with business and user requirementsContinuously evaluate existing systems and identify opportunities for performance, reliability, and maintainability improvementsMust-Have SkillsNodeJSStrong hands-on experience with NodeJS and backend application developmentGood understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and API developmentExperience building and consuming RESTful APIsFamiliarity with common NodeJS frameworks and backend development patternsPostgreSQLStrong experience working with PostgreSQLGood understanding of relational database concepts, schema design, normalization, and transactionsAbility to write efficient SQL queries and optimize database performanceExperience with indexes, joins, constraints, and query optimizationGood-to-Have SkillsBackend EngineeringStrong understanding of backend architecture and software engineering principlesExperience working with microservices or distributed systemsFamiliarity with caching, queues, asynchronous processing, and performance optimizationExposure to cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, or monitoring tools is a plusUnderstanding of authentication, authorization, security, and API best practicesRequirements2-5 years of professional software development experienceStrong programming and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programmingAbility to debug issues and work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environmentStrong communication and collaboration skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
