Remote — Must reside in Los Angeles County, CaliforniaBase Salary: $150,000Full-timeAbout the RoleBliss Technical Staffing is seeking software engineers with strong programming fundamentals and an interest in building reliable, scalable software systems.This is a remote position, but applicants must currently reside in Los Angeles County, California.The ideal candidate has a foundation in computer science, experience programming in at least one general-purpose language, and a working understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain software applications and servicesWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeDebug and troubleshoot software issuesApply data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles to software-development problemsParticipate in code reviews and technical discussionsCollaborate with other technical professionals to solve engineering problemsWork with modern development tools and version-control systemsLearn and apply new technologies as project requirements evolveBasic QualificationsMust currently reside in Los Angeles County, CaliforniaMust be 18 years of age or olderExperience programming in at least one general-purpose language, such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScriptUnderstanding of data structures, basic algorithms, and/or object-oriented programmingBachelor's degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively in a technical work environmentCurrently authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support now or in the futureWork AuthorizationBliss Technical Staffing does not provide employment-based visa sponsorship for this position, including H-1B sponsorship or H-1B transfer.Applicants must already possess independent authorization to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred QualificationsPrevious software-engineering internship or substantial technical project experienceExperience with cloud platforms, preferably AWSFamiliarity with SQL or NoSQL databasesExperience using Git or another version-control systemExperience debugging and troubleshooting complex software systemsFamiliarity with AI-assisted development toolsUnderstanding of the software development lifecycleOpen-source contributions or other demonstrated technical project workAbility to learn and adapt to new technologies quicklyStrong written and verbal communication skillsLocation RequirementThis is a remote position, but applicants must currently be physically located in Los Angeles County, California.
