We are working with a direct client in the digital payments / fintech space looking to onboard a Lead Frontend Engineer to support a large-scale UI modernization initiative. The current platform is being migrated to a component-based architecture, and this role will be responsible for leading frontend development efforts across multiple applications.The candidate will work closely with product managers, UX teams, and backend engineers to deliver high-performance, user-friendly interfaces used by thousands of end users daily.Key ResponsibilitiesLead development of frontend applications and shared UI componentsDrive architecture decisions for scalable and maintainable frontend systemsCollaborate with UX/design teams to implement responsive UI/UXIntegrate frontend applications with backend APIs and servicesReview code, mentor developers, and enforce best practicesOptimize application performance, load time, and usabilityTroubleshoot production issues and improve stabilityParticipate in Agile ceremonies and release planningRequired Skills12+ years of frontend development experienceStrong hands-on experience with React.js in recent projectsExpertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3Experience with state management using Redux or Context APIStrong understanding of component-based architectureExperience integrating REST APIsHands-on experience with GitExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsStrong communication and team leadership skillsNice to HaveExperience with Next.jsExposure to TypeScriptExperience with performance optimization and lazy loadingFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelinesBasic knowledge of cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
