- Analyzes, designs, and implements real-time software for operator and maintenance training.
- Performs in-house software review processes including peer review and compliance with an approved Software Development Plan.
- Assists the other team members to ensure all discrepancies and actions taken to resolve discrepancies are accurately recorded and resolved prior to releasing products to customer.
- Participates in project reviews, briefs project status and engineering issues, and ensures discrepancies noted by the reviewing authority are recorded as appropriate action items.
- Assists in the development of training level of effort estimates for customers.
- Must be capable of safely handling government-furnished equipment and materials.
- Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient with C++ and/or C# is required.
- Experience with UNIX/LINUX operating systems is preferred.
- Experience with MS Visual Studio and Open GL is preferred.
- Experience with Unity/Unreal is preferred.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be a quick learner.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance when required by the contract.Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in computer simulation, engineering, game development, or a similar field is preferred; or
- AA/AS degree in a related field and two (2) years of experience in a programming or engineering field; or
- High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in a programming or engineering field.
