Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, and software testing for complex enterprise web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate will possess strong automation expertise, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases for enterprise web applications and APIs.Create comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios to ensure adequate test coverage across all deliverables.Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium with Serenity (Java-based) and contribute to improving test automation practices.Participate in requirements analysis, user story refinement, sprint planning, and product demonstrations.Perform functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.Identify, log, track, and verify software defects and collaborate closely with developers for timely resolution.Participate in production release validation and deployment verification activities.Continuously improve testing processes, quality standards, and automation coverage.Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile Scrum environment to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.Leverage GitHub Copilot and other Generative AI tools to improve productivity, code quality, and testing efficiency.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.Experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and Software Testing.Strong experience testing enterprise web applications and APIs.Hands-on experience with Selenium Serenity Framework (Java-based).Strong programming knowledge and understanding of:Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)Design PatternsSoftware Design PrinciplesCoding Standards and Code ReviewsSource Control SystemsBuild Processes and CI/CD PipelinesExperience with SQL and NoSQL databases.Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Playwright automation framework.Experience with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) methodologies.Familiarity with Gherkin syntax and framework implementations.Experience with API testing tools and automation.Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and modern DevOps practices.Experience using Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms within software development and testing workflows.Technical SkillsRequired:Selenium SerenityJavaAPI TestingSQL / NoSQL DatabasesGit/GitHubAgile ScrumCI/CDPreferred:PlaywrightBDD / GherkinGitHub CopilotTest Automation Framework DesignDevOps ToolsThe base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $68034 to $77904Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws.
