About the role We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to help expand the integrations that power Tesphase. You will work directly with our founders on the backend that connects to solar systems, home batteries, EVs, and chargers, and turns their live data into automated charging decisions. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working with APIs and wants to ship code that real homes rely on every day.What you'll doBuild and maintain integrations with solar, battery, EV, and charger platforms through their APIsImplement secure account connections, token handling, and data syncingImprove the reliability of our data pipeline, including error handling, retries, and monitoringWrite tests and help keep our services stable as more homes connectHelp reduce API usage and costs as we scaleContribute to technical decisions on a small, fast-moving teamWhat we're looking forPursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceExperience with Python or TypeScriptFamiliarity with REST APIs and working from third-party documentationComfortable with Git and working independently in a remote settingClear communication and strong ownership of your workNice to haveExperience with PostgreSQL, Next.js, or cloud platforms such as AWS or VercelExposure to OAuth flows, webhooks, or streaming dataInterest in energy, EVs, or climate techDetailsRemote, 10 to 20 hours per week, flexible scheduleStart date: October 2026 · Duration: 3 to 6 monthsCompensation: Unpaid, with academic credit available.
