We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern who is excited about building products from the ground up and gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment. This is a great learning-focused internship designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in software engineering and startup product development. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our founding engineering and product teams to design, develop, test, and improve the D2Excel platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance web application features for the D2Excel platform.
• Build and integrate APIs, backend services, and database functionality.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end experiences.
• Assist with integrating AI/ML and LLM capabilities into the platform.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Test, troubleshoot, and improve product features.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and product planning.
• Collaborate with the founding team to translate product ideas and requirements into working solutions.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, security, and documentation.
• Research and learn new technologies relevant to the product.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar.
• Basic understanding of web development, APIs, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub or another version-control system.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and take ownership of assigned projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Genuine interest in learning and building technology.

Preferred

• Experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and REST APIs.
• Exposure to cloud platforms.
• Experience building personal, academic, hackathon, or open-source software projects.
• Interest or experience in AI/ML, LLMs, or Generative AI.
• Previous startup or entrepreneurial experience.
