Software Engineer - Java / Python Mid-Level - Back End Engineer | London | Investment Bank | £80,000–£95,000 + Bonus & Benefits | On-site 5 days a week | No sponsorshipOur client, an investment bank is looking to hire a mid-level Back End Software Engineer to join their London team focused on delivering mission-critical systems that provide end-to-end visibility into payment lifecycles for technical, operations, reporting and product teams.This is a great opportunity for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems. You will architect and develop strategic, high-performance systems that connect to trillions of dollars in global liquidity and capital.They’re are looking for strong engineers who can think critically, build scalable solutions and mentor those around them.You’ll be expected to carry out code reviews, support and mentor more junior engineers and still be very much involved in designing, building and shipping code yourself.Prior experience leading code reviews:- Prior experience creating AI agents to boost productivity (a strong plus)- Strong problem solver- Strong technologist, technology agnosticExperience in these technologies would be a plus but not essential:Java 17+, Spring BootOracle SQL, Document Store DBsKubernetes, JenkinsGitHub CopilotIf you are interested to learn more, please send a CV for immediate consideration.
