Software Engineer – Python/Django

We’re hiring a Software Engineer with strong Python and Django skills for a product engineering team in Gurugram. The team wants engineers who write clean, efficient backend code and understand how it behaves in production.What You Will Work On: Develop, maintain, and optimise backend services using Python and DjangoBuild and integrate RESTful APIs powering consumer-facing and internal platformsWork with NumPy and Pandas for data processing and reporting pipelinesDebug, profile, and improve performance of production systemsCollaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams on scalable architecture decisionsWrite clean, well-documented code and participate in structured code reviewsAssist in the deployment and maintenance of server-side componentsWhat We Are Looking ForMust-have: 2–5 years of backend development experience with Python as the primary languageStrong, production-level knowledge of Django — not just familiaritySolid understanding of REST API design, authentication, and database interactionsExperience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL in productionComfortable with Git and agile team workflowsStrong differentiator (not a dealbreaker, but will move you to the top): Hands-on experience with microservices in production — inter-service communication (REST, gRPC, Kafka/RabbitMQ), data consistency across servicesImmediately available or serving a notice period of 15 days or lessGood to have: Experience with NumPy and Pandas in a real data contextBackend performance profiling and query optimisationFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker / Kubernetes)Hiring processProfile review45-minute online technical assessment (Python, Django and databases)Technical interviews with the teamYou can also apply on Nestor Hire, our hiring platform:https://hire.nestorservices.in/jobs/software-engineer-python-django-client-of-nestor-services
