About Us:Phr idom AI - Ability Robotics is an early-stage robotics and AI company building the core systems behind embodied intelligence. Our technologies help robots understand the physical world, learn intelligent behaviours, and operate reliably in real environments. We’  re still in stealth, but we’  re already working with a select group of partners to validate our systems in high-impact robotics applications. If you're excited to build foundational technologies for the next generation of robotics and want meaningful ownership over hard technical problems, we'd love to hear from you.Role Overview:As a Simulation & Synthetic Data Engineer, you’  ll build the simulation and data infrastructure  that helps embodied robots learn, test, and improve before they reach the real world. Your work will accelerate model development, strengthen sim-to-real reliability, and directly support robot deployments in customer environments. What you'll work on1. Develop and scale robotic simulation environments for algorithm validation, system testing, and data generation.2. Design simulation scenarios and task environments that support perception and learning model training and evaluation.3. Build automated synthetic data generation pipelines with controllable scenario variation and domain randomization.4. Collaborate with perception and learning teams to define data requirements, benchmarks, and evaluation metrics.5. Improve alignment between simulation and real-world systems to support s im-to-real transfer.6. Develop tooling that improves the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of data generation workflows.7. Align simulation interfaces and workflows with real robot system architectures.Technical Requirements1. Bachelor's degree or above in Robotics, Computer Science, Graphics, Simulation, or a related field, with at least 3 years of industry experience.2. Experience with at least one robotics simulation platform (e.g. Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Genesis, Newton, etc.).3. Strong Python programming skills.4.  Solid understanding of robotic systems, perception, and control fundamentals.5. Strong systems thinking and engineering execution capabilities.6. Ability to independently build simulation environments and automated data generation workflows.7. Familiarity with GPU acceleration and parallel computing technologies (e.g. CUDA, PyTorch, TensorRT).Nice to Have1. Experience working with humanoid robots, mobile manipulators, or other robotic platforms.2. Experience building large-scale synthetic data generation systems.3. Familiarity with photorealistic rendering pipelines.4. Familiarity with latest developments in robotic simulation space.5. Experience with sim-to-real techniques, domain randomization, or related approaches.6. Experience collaborating closely with machine learning or robot learning teams.7. Experience building reproducible simulation and experimentation pipelines.Your Impact•  Your work will ship into real deployments, helping humanoid and embodied robots operate reliably in customer and public environments - not just controlled demos.• You'll improve system robustness across both simulation and physical hardware under real- world conditions.•  You'll help transform prototypes into scalable, repeatable systems that improve uptime, safety, and data quality across deployments.• You'll play a key role in accelerating how quickly the team can build, test, learn, and deploy. Why Join UsJoin us at an early stage and help build the core software infrastructure behind humanoid and embodied robotic systems heading toward real-world deployment. We move fast, ship often, and give engineers meaningful ownership__so you'll learn quickly, tackle high-impact challenges, and see your work running on real robots outside the lab. With active business across China and beyond, you'll gain unique exposure to global robotics ecosystems, customers, and partners as the company scales.LocationThis role is based in either Shenzhen, China, or Singapore, working closely with the engineering team and robotic systems. How to ApplySend your resume and a brief introduction outlining your relevant experience and interest in the role. We'd also love to see examples of simulation environments, robotics projects, synthetic data pipelines, or other work you're proud of.
