Software Engineer - System Enablement & Tooling Team

About the role Xsight Labs is building high-performance networking solutions for scale-out infrastructure. As a Software Engineer on the Tools and Infrastructure team, you will act as a versatile contributor bridging the gap between software and hardware engineering. You will plan, design, implement, and maintain complex tools and applications utilized both internally and externally.We are looking for an independent, analytical thinker who thrives on tackling diverse challenges, whether that means leading the development of a new tool from initial requirements to deployment, or diving into existing systems to optimize and expand their capabilities.What you’ll doLead the end-to-end development lifecycle of various tools and applications, both internal and customer-facing. You will be involved in requirement gathering, software design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.Take ownership of existing infrastructure, joining ongoing efforts to maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and expand toolsets as needed.Be engaged in parallel programming, leveraging multithreading and multiprocessing to ensure reliability and performance.Collaborate closely with both software and hardware engineers to understand their workflows and deliver tailored solutions that support and accelerate development.Quickly learn and adapt to new engineering concepts, utilizing cutting-edge and diverse programming paradigms, technologies and industry standards for the specific task at hand. Basic QualificationsBSc in Computer Science or equivalent3+ years of software engineering experienceStrong core understanding of software engineering fundamentals, design, and OS architectureSolid understanding of parallel programming concepts, including multithreading and multiprocessingHigh level of technical independence and excellent analytical, problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsProficiency in Python developmentComfortable working in a Linux-based environment and interacting with computer networking fundamentalsHands-on experience with backend development, including databases, REST APIs, and containerization technology (e.g., Docker)Nice to have (optional)C/C++ programming experienceFamiliarity with full-stack development
