Software Engineer: Web & Mobile | Unpaid Internship

For the right person, this has the potential to develop into a paid role as the company grows.2nd Intelligence is a Founder Institute Silicon Valley 2026 graduate company. 2nd Intelligence is a performance app for leaders CEOs, founders, execs, built on a methodology used with 2,000+ high performers over a decade. The method is a combination of conscious connected breathwork, neurotraining, and leadership tools. What you'll work on:Shape the user experience — help think through how users interact with the product and turn ideas into simple, intuitive experiences.Design and build website and mobile app features — contribute across UI/UX, product design, and engineering.Take ownership from idea to production — help define features, prototype solutions, build them, gather feedback, and iterate.Help shape and scale the product — make technical and product decisions that can influence how the platform evolves as we grow.Improve the details that matter — usability, interface design, speed, reliability, responsiveness, and overall product quality.Work directly with the founder — collaborate closely on product direction, priorities, design decisions, and new ideas.Build with autonomy — You’ll have the opportunity to propose ideas, solve real problems, and leave a visible mark on the product.Who we're looking for:- Independent, resourceful, and fast, you figure it out rather than wait to be told- Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by early-stage pace- Web or mobile development experience, show us what you've builtWhy this:This internship gives you a real product, a real mission, and direct access to a founder who has spent 8 years in the room with some of the world's highest performers.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science concepts and Software Development practicesProficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)Experience or interest in Back-End Web DevelopmentFamiliarity with web and/or mobile frameworks (e.g., React, React Native, Flutter, or similar) is beneficialBasic understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and version control (e.g., Git)Ability to write clean, well-documented code and follow coding standardsComfort working independently in a remote environment and collaborating asynchronouslyCompleted a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceFamiliarity with Mixpanel or similar product analytics toolsExperience or interest in AI/LLMs, AI APIs, and AI-assisted development toolsTo apply: Send a short introduction to Catherine at hello@2ndintelligence.com and links to anything you've built — GitHub, apps, websites, projects.
