Their vision is to help shape the next generation of the internet by building an open, inclusive ecosystem that creates meaningful value for people around the world.About The RoleWe are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers in the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to drive projects from conception to completion while ensuring the team operates effectively and efficiently.This role requires strong people management skills, including providing mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluations to engineers, as well as tracking team performance and supporting professional growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and Operations, to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and execution.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceSenior-level knowledge and experience with at least one of the following: C++, Ruby on Rails, or ReactExperience leading engineering teams and managing peopleExperience providing mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluations to junior engineersStrong proactive problem-solving skills, including the ability to research resources, documentation, and conduct testing independentlyAbility to debug and optimize code, as well as automate routine tasksExperience with one or more general-purpose programming languages and frameworks, including but not limited to Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, and Objective-CPreferred Qualifications (Not Required)5+ years of professional experience working with technologies listed in the minimum qualificationsExperience with mobile development (iOS or Android)Experience with web developmentExperience with Unix/Linux operating system internals (e.g., filesystems, system calls) and administration or networking concepts (e.g., routing, SDN)Experience analyzing and troubleshooting complex systemsExperience designing large-scale distributed systemsExperience designing and developing software focused on systems or network automationFrom Tangerine Search:Tangerine Search is an equal opportunity agency that values diversity.
