GPAP is a competitive program that only accepts 5 participants in every cohort.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role starting on September 1, for Software Engineering Trainees based in Kampala, Uganda. The role involves participating in software development projects, working collaboratively with a team, designing and coding back-end systems, and solving technical challenges. You will gain hands-on experience in programming, object-oriented design, and applying computer science principles to real-world problems. Additionally, you will receive training and mentorship to build the necessary skills for a successful career in software engineering.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science principles and conceptsProficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software DevelopmentExperience with Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamEagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, technical environmentPrior exposure to startup or entrepreneurial ecosystems is an advantageBachelor’s degree (or current enrollment) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields is preferred
