In this role, the intern will take ownership of upgrading and modernizing an existing website using the MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) or PERN (PostgreSQL, Express, React, Node) stack.This is a fixed-fee assignment: you will be paid a set amount for the successful completion of the requested project. The overall internship is for 3-6 months, with the core project expected to be completed in 2-3 months, subject to your expertise. Day-to-day tasks will include writing and reviewing code, executing full-stack architectural decisions, working with databases, participating in software design discussions, and executing test cases to ensure quality and reliability. The intern will collaborate with senior engineers, contribute to documentation, and help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as part of the product development lifecycle.Important: Please apply only if you are completely comfortable with a fixed-term internship structured strictly around a fixed-fee payment for this specific assignment.QualificationsCandidates should possess foundational skills in Software Development and Software Design.Candidates should possess practical Programming skills and hands-on experience with modern frameworks, specifically React.js, Node.js, and Express.Candidates should possess basic knowledge of Databases and data modeling concepts, with proficiency in MongoDB or PostgreSQL.Candidates should possess skills in Testing, including writing and executing test cases.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the capability to drive a project end-to-end.Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate technical ideas clearly.Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.Interest in AI, automation, and project management tools is highly beneficial.
