The organisation develops technology-driven products designed to strengthen digital security and enhance enterprise productivity, with ambitions to serve global markets.Role OverviewWe are seeking Quality Control (QC) Engineers at mid-level and senior levels to ensure the quality, reliability, functionality and performance of software products. The successful candidates will conduct manual and automated testing, validate APIs, identify and track defects, and improve testing efficiency through automation and AI-enabled tools. They will work closely with software development, product and DevOps teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).Key Responsibilities – Both LevelsCreate and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios and test scripts.Perform functional, regression, smoke, exploratory and usability testing.Develop, execute and maintain automated tests using suitable testing frameworks.Conduct API testing and validate response data, schemas and API contracts.Carry out performance, load, stress and endurance testing where required.Identify, reproduce, document, prioritise and track defects through resolution.Analyse test results, quality metrics and application logs; prepare clear test reports.Collaborate with development, product and DevOps teams to maintain quality throughout the SDLC.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous improvement.Explore AI-assisted testing tools and approaches to improve test coverage and efficiency.Apply basic security-testing practices and support root cause analysis where appropriate.Mid-Level QC EngineerExperience: Minimum 2 years in software testing / quality control, as specified in the supplied brief.Execute manual and automated test cases and document results accurately.Develop and maintain test scripts using relevant automation frameworks and scripting languages.Perform API testing, investigate defects and collaborate with developers on resolution.Contribute to test planning, test documentation and quality reporting.Demonstrate sound knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum and software testing methodologies.Senior QC EngineerExperience: Typically 5+ years in QA/QC, including senior-level responsibility, as stated in the supplied brief.Lead the design and continuous improvement of test strategies, plans and scalable automation frameworks.Evaluate and optimise automation and AI-enabled testing tools.Oversee defect prioritisation, testing coverage and quality metrics.Work with development, product and DevOps teams to embed quality across the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.Mentor junior and mid-level QC team members and promote testing best practices.Guide test estimation, risk analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.RequirementsRelevant hands-on experience in software testing, QA or software quality control.Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC and Agile/Scrum.Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright or Appium.Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured or Swagger.Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6 or Locust.Scripting skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or a comparable language.Understanding of version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, GitLab CI or Jenkins.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and commitment to software quality.Preferred SkillsExposure to AI/ML-based testing tools or AI-assisted software quality assurance.Basic security-testing knowledge, including OWASP Top 10, Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP.SQL and database validation skills; experience analysing logs and monitoring tools.Mobile application testing experience.ISTQB or an equivalent software testing certification.For senior candidates: experience in mentoring, test strategy and effort estimation.Working ArrangementsFull-time, onsite position in Dubai.
