Overall, Grando Solar aims to make every rooftop deliver more than just energy savings.Role Description The Solar 3D Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for creating detailed 3D visualizations and layouts for residential rooftop solar installations. This role involves translating site assessments and technical inputs into accurate 3D models that reflect roof structures, shading, and panel placement, supporting both engineering and sales teams. The designer will collaborate with project managers and installers to refine system designs, optimize aesthetics and performance, and ensure that visuals align with technical specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing 3D renderings, adjusting designs based on client feedback and site constraints, preparing design assets for presentations and marketing materials, and maintaining organized design files and documentation. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver clear, precise, and customer-friendly design outputs for each project.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in 3D Design and 3D Modeling to create accurate rooftop solar layouts and visualizations.Candidates should possess skills in Lighting and Animation to represent realistic solar panel placement, shading, and system behavior.Candidates should possess skills in Graphic Design to produce visually engaging design proposals, diagrams, and client-facing materials.Candidates should possess proficiency in industry-standard 3D and design software (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Blender, or similar tools).Candidates should possess an understanding of basic solar PV concepts, rooftop structures, and site assessment parameters.Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, spatial visualization abilities, and the capacity to interpret technical drawings and measurements.Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, sales, and installation teams on-site.Candidates should possess a relevant educational background in design, architecture, engineering, or a related field; prior experience in solar or construction design is an advantage.
