Solution Architect (Java)

Position Responsibilities· Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of the digital wallet platform, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability to support millions of users and transactions.· Define and drive the overall solution architecture for fintech systems, including payment processing, wallet ledger, settlement, digital asset integration, and ecosystem services.· Collaborate with Product, Security, Infrastructure, and Business teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and system architectures.· Establish and enforce architecture standards, technical guidelines, and best practices across backend services, APIs, integration patterns, and microservices architecture.· Lead the design and implementation of secure payment and financial systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and risk management requirements.· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, guiding system design, code quality, and architectural decision-making.· Drive technology selection and platform evolution, evaluating new technologies and frameworks to improve system performance, scalability, and developer productivity.· Ensure system reliability and operational excellence, including high availability, disaster recovery, observability, and performance optimization.· Work closely with cross-functional teams to support large-scale fintech integrations with internal services, partners, and external financial institutions.· Contribute to strategic technology planning and roadmap development to support the long-term growth of the digital wallet and fintech ecosystem. Qualifications / Professional Competencies / Experience Requirements· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.· 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in solution architecture or technical leadership roles within large-scale systems.· Strong experience in designing and building scalable distributed systems, microservices architecture, and high-availability platforms.· Solid experience in Fintech, Digital Payments, Digital Wallets, or Financial Services platforms (e.g., payment processing, wallet ledger, reconciliation, settlement, fraud management).· Deep understanding of API architecture, system integration, and event-driven architectures using technologies such as RESTful APIs, messaging systems, and streaming platforms.· Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).· Strong background in security architecture and secure software development, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance considerations in financial systems.· Proficiency in modern backend development technologies (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, Golang, or similar enterprise backend stacks).· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional engineering teams in complex technology organizations.· Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive architectural decisions across multiple teams.
