Solution Architect (SAP)

Role: SAP Technical ArchitectLocation: London, UKMode: Hybrid/OnsiteType: Contract/PermanentJob Description:SAP Technical ArchitectKey ResponsibilitiesOwn the technical architecture and end-to-end solution design across SAP SuccessFactors, SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Ariba, and related third-party systems.Define and govern integration architecture for real-time and batch integrations across SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP Integration Suite/CPI, PI/PO, APIs, IDocs, RFCs, REST, SOAP, and other appropriate integration technologies.Lead the technical design of SAP S/4HANA Finance, including data models, SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, and extension strategies using SAP BTP, in-app extensibility, and side-by-side extensions.Design and oversee SAP Ariba integrations, including Ariba Network, Cloud Integration Gateway, catalogs, contracts, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) technical processes.Provide technical leadership for SAP SuccessFactors implementations, including Employee Central, payroll integrations, Provisioning, OData APIs, and appropriate extension capabilities.Oversee custom development and technical solutions using ABAP, RAP, CDS, AMDP, SAPUI5/Fiori, SAP BTP services, and Java/Node.js integrations where applicable.Define and enforce non-functional requirements (NFRs) covering performance, scalability, availability, security, compliance, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.Establish and govern development standards, coding guidelines, CI/CD pipelines, transport management, version control, and release governance.Lead technical design and code reviews, ensuring solutions meet architectural standards, security requirements, performance expectations, and maintainability goals.Mentor and provide technical guidance to SAP development and integration teams, supporting them throughout design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.Provide technical leadership during SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and risks.Collaborate closely with enterprise/business architects, functional leads, security teams, infrastructure, and operations to ensure end-to-end solution alignment and successful delivery.Drive technical risk management, architecture governance, and continuous improvement across SAP platforms and integration landscapes.Support post-go-live operations, troubleshooting complex technical issues and ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of SAP solutions.Key Technical SkillsSAP S/4HANA FinanceSAP SuccessFactors – Employee Central and integrationsSAP Ariba and Ariba NetworkSAP Integration Suite / CPISAP PI/POSAP BTPABAP, RAP, CDS, AMDPSAP Fiori / SAPUI5REST / SOAP APIsODataIDocs / RFCCI/CD and DevOpsSAP security and technical architectureIntegration and enterprise architectureCloud and hybrid SAP landscapesRole ProfileThe ideal candidate should have strong experience in SAP technical architecture, integration, custom development, and enterprise-scale SAP implementations, with the ability to translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
