With a strong reputation for technical expertise and customer service, we partner with clients across multiple sectors, including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, data centres, retail, and industrial facilities.Our core product and service lines include:New Build BMS & PMS Projects (Contracting)BMS & PMS Maintenance, Remote Services, and MonitoringSpecial Projects in existing buildings (for Facilities Managers and End Users)Energy Contracts and Energy Efficiency ProjectsSmart Buildings Solutions (Analytics & IoT)Purpose of the role:To design solutions for control automation and monitoring projects (BMS, PLC, SCADA, Power Monitoring/Metering).Solutions Architect (sometimes referred to as System Architect) will focus on and drive innovation in engineering methods, tools, and processes. To be able to deliver the design stage of BMS/PMS control automation and monitoring projects across the Middle East, from consultant specification through to issued technical design documentation ready for construction and commissioning handover, also if required to be able to produce software code and graphics.Key Responsibilities:Interface between the bid team and the project delivery team, providing input into New Projects bid opportunities.Take responsibility for the project solution in terms of design, including interfacing with external suppliers/customers and internal stakeholders.Support the Project Manager and Lead Engineer on project design and engineering implementation processes.Provide support to the wider engineering team regarding tools, techniques, and process improvements to ensure delivery on time, to budget, and effectively.Ensure all design information is available, and appropriate design documentation is completed, issued, and approved.Maintain accurate and timely communication with the ABEC Project Manager, Engineering Manager, and wider engineering team.Accurately record tasks on timesheets and complete expense claims on time.Provide regular progress updates to Project Managers, Engineering Manager, and Technical Support Managers.Maintain work efficiency to complete tasks within, or ahead of, allocated time frames/schedules.Consider and review alternative engineering methods, tools, and processes to improve quality and cost.Ensure standards of workmanship are consistently of the highest quality.Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BMS/PLC/SCADA/EPMS systems, providing advanced technical expertise.Mentor and support junior engineers and Solutions Architects, sharing knowledge and best practice.Lead on technical solution design for complex and major projects, including providing strategic input during bids.Recommend and introduce engineering methodologies, tools, and processes that drive improvements in quality, cost efficiency, and profitability.Represent ABEC as a senior technical authority with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
