Solutions Architect – Asset ServicingPermanent | Hybrid - 2x a week in London | Financial ServicesBestman Solutions is supporting a leading financial market infrastructure organisation undergoing significant technology modernisation across its post-trade platforms.We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a growing architecture function, with a particular focus on Asset Servicing.This role will be responsible for defining target architecture and designing end-to-end solutions across complex, business-critical platforms. You will sit between enterprise architecture and engineering, translating strategic direction into pragmatic, technically deliverable solutions.The ideal candidate will combine strong solution architecture experience with a good understanding of modern software engineering and, importantly, Asset Servicing or wider post-trade processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine end-to-end solution architectures across Asset Servicing and wider post-trade technology initiativesEnsure solutions meet functional, non-functional, security, resilience, and architectural requirementsTranslate enterprise and domain architecture principles into practical technology solutionsWork closely with Domain Architects, Product Owners, Engineering teams, and other technology stakeholdersContribute to target architectures and technology roadmaps for the Asset Servicing domainDesign solutions using event-driven, service-based, API, and microservices architecturesProvide architectural guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle, from initial design through to implementationIdentify technical dependencies, risks, and architectural trade-offs across complex programmesDevelop reusable architecture patterns and technology building blocksSupport the continued development of Solution Architecture and Software Engineering practicesProvide pragmatic recommendations while maintaining alignment with wider enterprise standardsRequired ExperienceSignificant experience as a Solution Architect, ideally within large-scale transformation programmesStrong understanding of Asset Servicing, securities, post-trade, or capital markets technologyExperience designing complex, end-to-end technology solutions within enterprise environmentsStrong knowledge of event-driven architecture, microservices, service-based architecture, and REST APIsTechnical experience across environments such as:Java and LinuxOpenShift / containerised platformsAzure CloudMainframe or Tandem environmentsGood understanding of integration patterns and data technologiesExperience working within Agile and DevOps environments, including CI/CDAbility to move comfortably between high-level architecture and detailed technical implementationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills across complex systems and technology estatesAbility to challenge constructively and communicate architectural recommendations to both engineering teams and senior stakeholdersDesirable ExperienceStrong knowledge of Asset Servicing processes, such as corporate actions, income, custody, securities processing, or related areasExperience within post-trade market infrastructure, securities services, banking, or capital marketsUnderstanding of the regulatory environment surrounding securities and post-trade servicesExperience with SAFe or other scaled Agile delivery modelsKnowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Open Agile ArchitectureExperience with JavaScript front-end frameworks such as AngularThe OpportunityThis is an opportunity to influence the architecture of major post-trade platforms at a time of significant technology transformation.You will have the scope to shape target architecture, work closely with engineering teams on how solutions are actually delivered, and contribute to the evolution of architecture practices across a complex financial technology environment.Interviews will commence shortly.
