Solution Architect

Location: London (Hybrid Working)Salary: Circa £110k + bonus + benefitsThe OpportunityWe're partnering with a leading financial services client to hire a Solution Architect into their London-based Architecture practice within Group IT.You will curate solution architecture designs across all lines of business, provide hands-on consultancy to project teams delivering cloud, on-premises and hybrid solutions, and act as a trusted technical partner to business relationship managers, product owners and delivery teams throughout the product life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Curate and own solution architecture designs across multiple lines of businessTranslate business and technical requirements into clear architectural blueprintsPerform threat modelling and author/maintain architecture guidelines and patternsProvide solution architecture consultancy to project teams across cloud, on-premises and hybrid deliveryEnsure alignment with enterprise standards, security, regulatory and risk requirementsWork closely with BRMs, product owners and product managers to support future business requirementsContribute to a shared community of practice, sharing reusable solutions and lessons learned

Key Requirements

5+ years' experience across at least two IT solution disciplines - technical/infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, Middleware, database management or cloud developmentStrong Back End skills in one or more of C#, Java, Python, Go or RustWorking knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB or OracleBroad, hands-on exposure to cloud, on-premises and hybrid environmentsExperience with architecture modelling approaches such as ArchiMate, UML or equivalentExperience producing solution designs and documentation for governance/design authority sign-offUnderstanding of SDLC, deployment pipelines and modern engineering/DevOps practicesExperience working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery modelsInterested to learn more?
