Apply & track with Apply EdgeAI Architect | Enterprise AI Transformation$200,000 – $275,000 Base + Meaningful Equity | New York / San Francisco | HybridHelp the world's largest enterprises become AI-native.We're partnering with one of the fastest-growing, best-funded companies in Enterprise AI to appoint a senior technical architect who will help shape and deliver large-scale AI transformations for Fortune 500 organisations.The opportunity:$200M+ raised with backing to support ambitious growth.$1.8B valuation and a rapidly scaling engineering organisation.Fortune 20 & Fortune 500 customers, tackling some of the most complex AI transformation challenges in the world.Genuine technical ownership, from executive discovery and solution architecture through to engineering delivery.Significant influence, working directly with C-suite executives and some of the industry's strongest AI engineers.This isn't about implementing another chatbot or bolting AI onto an existing workflow.It's about fundamentally reimagining how major enterprises operate, architecting production-grade AI systems and delivering transformation programmes that span multiple business functions and years.The RoleYou'll become the senior technical partner to a small number of strategic enterprise customers, working at the intersection of software engineering, AI architecture and enterprise transformation.You'll be responsible for:Partnering with CIOs, CTOs and senior executives to understand complex business challenges and define ambitious AI transformation strategies.Architecting sophisticated AI/ML systems, including LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows and enterprise integrations.Leading technical discovery, solution design, scoping and the technical direction of major customer engagements.Working alongside Forward Deployed Engineers, researchers and product teams to bring solutions into production.Owning the long-term technical relationship, helping customers expand from individual AI use cases into enterprise-wide transformation.This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor position within Engineering, not a traditional pre-sales or people management role.Who We're Looking ForWe're deliberately open-minded about job titles and backgrounds. What matters is a rare combination of deep software engineering foundations, enterprise architecture experience and exceptional customer-facing ability.We're particularly interested in three archetypes:1. The Engineer-Turned-ArchitectYou began your career as a hands-on Software Engineer, progressed through senior engineering positions and moved into Solutions Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or technical customer leadership.Potential backgrounds include AWS, Databricks, Palantir, OpenAI and other engineering-led infrastructure or AI companies.2. The Technical AI Transformation ConsultantYou've worked within an engineering-heavy consultancy or AI transformation business, designing and delivering complex technology programmes for major enterprise customers.Think QuantumBlack, specialist AI consultancies or technical transformation teams, provided you have genuine production software engineering experience.3. The Enterprise Engineering LeaderYou've spent significant time building software before progressing into technical architecture or transformation leadership within a major enterprise.You understand complex legacy systems, enterprise integrations and how to deliver ambitious technology change across multiple business units.Experience in financial services, healthcare, insurance, telecommunications or pharmaceuticals would be particularly interesting.What Really MattersMeaningful technical experience, including a strong foundation in hands-on software engineering.Proven experience designing complex, production-grade software systems.Strong understanding of AI/ML architecture, LLMs, cloud infrastructure, APIs and enterprise integrations.Experience leading technical discovery and shaping large-scale customer engagements.Confidence engaging senior technical leaders and C-suite executives.Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly, commercially and convincingly.You don't need to be writing production code every day, but you must have the engineering depth to do so and the credibility to lead highly capable engineering teams.Package & LocationBase Salary: $200,000 – $275,000Equity: Meaningful equity participation
