Solutions Engineer

Our Bucharest team designs, implements and operates infrastructure and cloud solutions for clients across Romania and Germany, working in an international group environment. The team is growing, and we are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team.About the roleAs Solutions Engineer, you act as the technical expert supporting the sales team throughout the full sales cycle for cloud and infrastructure managed services. You translate business requirements into technical solutions, deliver demonstrations and workshops, and design multi-cloud / hybrid architectures that fit each client's operational reality. You work closely with sales, delivery, and vendor partners to help customers understand, evaluate, and adopt the right infrastructure solution.What You'll DoIdentify business and technical requirements and recommend suitable cloud and infrastructure solutions;Design and validate multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure architectures - compute, storage, networking, disaster recovery, security;Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops and webinars for prospects and clients;Support proof-of-concept activities, technical evaluations, and solution scoping;Respond to RFP/RFI with complete technical proposals - sizing, cost estimation, architecture, high-level implementation plan;Collaborate with sales, delivery, and technical teams throughout the sales cycle;Maintain up-to-date expertise in cloud technologies, market trends, and competitive solutions.Must have5+ years of experience in technical presales, systems engineering, solution architecture, or infrastructure consulting/implementation;Solid, hands-on knowledge of enterprise infrastructure hardware - servers, storage, and networking from vendors such as Dell (PowerEdge, PowerStore/PowerMax, Networking), HPE, or equivalent enterprise-grade platforms;Working knowledge of cloud and hybrid cloud technologies (multi-cloud or vendor-agnostic profile preferred), and how they integrate with on-prem infrastructure;Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences;Experience delivering technical workshops, demonstrations, and customer-facing presentations;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset;Fluent Romanian and English.Nice to haveVendor certifications on Dell (Dell Technologies Proven Professional / Expert) and/or HPE (ASE/MASE) infrastructure platforms;Cloud architect certification (AWS, Azure or GCP - Associate minimum, Professional/Expert preferred);Additional certifications in cloud security, Kubernetes or CI/CD;Prior experience at an integrator, MSP, or infrastructure distributor working across multiple hardware vendors.What we offerDirect work with enterprise-grade infrastructure and cloud technologies across multiple clients and vendors;An experienced, supportive team with direct access to decision-makers;Collaboration with the German and Austrian teams, including travel abroad;Private medical insurance and private pension contribution;Employee events.Why MedialineAt Medialine, the solutions you design do not stop at the proposal.
