Sourcing & Supply Chain Manager

Are you an experienced Sourcing, Procurement or Supply Chain professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence how a manufacturing business operates?We’re working with an established manufacturing business that is looking for a Sourcing & Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of strategic sourcing and end-to-end supply chain activity across its Evesham operation.This is a broad, commercially focused role covering strategic sourcing, procurement, planning, supplier management, logistics and inventory, with a strong focus on improving cost, quality, delivery and overall supply chain resilience.What you'll be doingDevelop and implement sourcing strategies across capital equipment categoriesLead RFQs, RFPs, supplier selection and contract negotiationsManage and develop strategic supplier relationships, both UK and internationallyDrive supplier performance through KPIs, reviews and continuous improvementLead demand and supply planning, including S&OPOversee logistics, distribution and inventory managementSupport CapEx projects from initial planning through to executionIdentify opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance and improved total cost of ownershipIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity, geopolitical and compliance risksWork closely with Engineering, Operations and Finance teamsDrive process improvement, standardisation and greater use of data and digital toolsLead and develop the team, setting objectives and creating a high-performing cultureWhat we're looking forYou'll ideally have:Significant experience within procurement, sourcing or supply chain, particularly around capital equipment or CapEx projectsStrong commercial and negotiation skillsExperience managing strategic suppliers and supplier performanceStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityExperience working across manufacturing or engineering environmentsGood project management and stakeholder management skillsKnowledge of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, moulding and surface treatmentExperience with GD&T, metrology and testing equipment would be highly advantageousExperience with Lean and continuous improvement methodologiesA degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related discipline would be desirableCIPS, CPSM or similar professional qualifications would be advantageousThe role ✈️ Travel: Approximately 50% travel, with the remainder office/site based 🎓 Training: Full training will be provided on the company's internal systemsThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, commercially minded and close to the operation, rather than working purely within a traditional procurement function.If you're looking for a role where you can influence suppliers, improve processes, deliver measurable savings and help shape the wider supply chain strategy, I'd be keen to hear from you.
