Sourcing Assistant Manager

Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams.Establish and implement supplier and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.Evaluate supplier quotations, pricing structures and commercial terms to ensure competitiveness and cost effectiveness.Develop commodity sourcing strategies across regional and global markets.Manage commodity sourcing activities while maintaining a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.Monitor commodity market trends and supplier market conditions to identify sourcing opportunities and potential risks.Build and maintain a reliable supplier base to support business and operational requirements.Drive cost improvement initiatives and negotiate with suppliers to achieve commercial targets.Job RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain or a related field.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sourcing, purchasing or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of commodity cost drivers, supplier markets and sourcing strategies.Good understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities.Strong analytical, negotiation and supplier management skills.Candidates with experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing or Purchasing are preferred.Willing to work in Senai, Johor.
