On a day-to-day basis, the interpreter will facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking individuals in medical, professional, and administrative contexts. Responsibilities include performing real-time interpretation during appointments or meetings, translating related documents when needed, and ensuring that meaning, tone, and intent are preserved across languages. The interpreter will adhere to industry standards and HIPAA regulations, maintain detailed and accurate records of assignments, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality language services. This role requires reliability, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple remote assignments while maintaining strong attention to detail.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Medical Interpretation and a solid understanding of healthcare terminology and HIPAA compliance.Candidates should possess strong skills in Simultaneous Interpretation for live conversations, meetings, or appointments.Candidates should possess strong skills in Translation for written documents and supporting materials.Candidates should possess strong skills in Interpreting and Language Services across diverse professional and cultural contexts.Native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent listening and speaking abilities.Previous experience as a professional interpreter, preferably in medical or healthcare settings.Strong ethical standards, respect for confidentiality, and commitment to impartial and accurate communication.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and use digital tools and platforms for virtual sessions.Relevant certifications in medical or community interpreting are highly beneficial.
