Special Education Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs- Teach or co-teach classes, adapting instructional strategies to meet student needs- Manage resource room support and provide targeted interventions- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed- Maintain accurate records related to IEPs, assessments, and student performance- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activitiesSkills and Qualifications:- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education- Experience working with middle and high school students in a special education setting- Strong understanding of IEP development and case management- Excellent communication and collaboration skills- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles- Passion for supporting students with emotional and learning challenges- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environmentLakeside Educational Network values its team members and offers a supportive work culture focused on growth and development.
