قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجJob Discription : Advanced Carbohydrate & Glycoscience Process Development📍 Hyderabad / Bengaluru, IndiaAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Carbohydrate & Glycoscience Process Development Scientist to lead complex carbohydrate and oligosaccharide projects from early route assessment through process development, scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturing support.This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of carbohydrate chemistry, synthetic glycans, glycoconjugates, and advanced process development, while collaborating with global customers and mentoring high-performing scientific teams.Key ResponsibilitiesScientific LeadershipLead carbohydrate and oligosaccharide development programs from proof-of-concept to commercial manufacturing.Design and optimize scalable processes involving glycosylation, protection/deprotection, selective functionalization, azidation, and oligosaccharide assembly.Drive troubleshooting, root-cause investigations, and process improvements using analytical and reaction data.Process Development & Scale-UpDevelop robust, safe, and commercially viable manufacturing processes.Support scale-up activities from laboratory to pilot and manufacturing scale.Conduct process safety evaluations and support technology transfer activities.Customer EngagementAct as the scientific lead for customer-facing projects.Present project progress, technical recommendations, risks, and mitigation plans.Participate in technical discussions, project reviews, site visits, and proposal presentations.Team & Project ManagementMentor and guide junior scientists.Review experimental strategies, technical reports, and project documentation.Coordinate cross-functional activities with Analytical R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams.Innovation & Capability BuildingExplore advanced glycan synthesis approaches, automated glycan assembly, and high-throughput experimentation.Contribute to capability development in glycan characterization, glycoconjugates, and next-generation carbohydrate technologies.Conduct literature, patent, and technology assessments to drive innovation.Required QualificationsEducationPh.D. in Organic Chemistry, Carbohydrate Chemistry, Glycoscience, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related discipline.ExperienceProven industry experience in carbohydrate and oligosaccharide synthesis and process development.Strong expertise in glycosylation chemistry, stereochemical control, and protecting-group strategies.Experience supporting technology transfer, scale-up, and manufacturing operations.Technical SkillsDeep understanding of carbohydrate process chemistry and impurity control.Hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, HRMS, NMR, GC, and KF techniques.Knowledge of crystallization, purification, and isolation of complex and highly polar molecules.Familiarity with process safety, DoE/QbD principles, and scalable manufacturing processes.Leadership SkillsStrong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.Excellent scientific writing, presentation, and communication skills.Ability to mentor teams and deliver projects in a fast-paced environment.Preferred ExperienceGlycoconjugate vaccines, synthetic glycans, carbohydrate therapeutics, or carbohydrate-based APIs.CRO/CDMO process development environment.Publications, patents, or postdoctoral research in carbohydrate chemistry or glycoscience.Experience with advanced purification technologies and scalable glycan manufacturing.What Success Looks Like✅ Successful delivery of carbohydrate programs from concept to technology transfer ✅ Robust, scalable, and commercially viable manufacturing processes ✅ Strong customer partnerships and repeat business opportunities ✅ Development of scientific talent through mentoring and leadership ✅ Advancement of glycoscience capabilities and innovation platforms
