As we continue to grow and modernize, we are looking for a forward-thinking leader to help shape the next chapter of our laboratory.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a driven Pathologist to join Intel Lab as our Laboratory Director. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strong diagnostic expertise with the drive to modernize how the lab operates. You will oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, uphold the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy, and lead a team of skilled professionals — while championing the adoption of modern tools, digital workflows, and smart technologies that make our lab faster, more efficient, and more precise.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Laboratory Director, providing clinical and operational leadership across all laboratory sections, including anatomical and clinical pathology.Review, interpret, and sign off on diagnostic reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely turnaround.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technologists, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Drive the adoption of modern laboratory technologies, digital pathology and imaging platforms, and data-driven diagnostic tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and efficiency.Oversee quality assurance, quality control, and compliance with DHA regulations and international accreditation standards (e.g., CAP, ISO 15189).Manage laboratory information systems (LIS) and support integration with modern digital health and reporting platforms.Collaborate with referring physicians, hospitals, and clinics to ensure excellent clinical support and turnaround times.Monitor laboratory performance metrics, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement innovative workflows.Ensure adherence to biosafety, infection control, and laboratory safety protocols at all times.Support recruitment, training, and continuing education initiatives to build a future-ready laboratory team.What We're Looking ForA hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced, modern laboratory environment.MD / MBBS with postgraduate specialization in Pathology (e.g., MD Pathology, FRCPath, FCAP, or equivalent board certification).Proven experience in a diagnostic laboratory setting, with prior exposure to a leadership or supervisory role preferred.Comfortable working with modern laboratory information systems, digital reporting tools, and emerging diagnostic technologies.Strong analytical mindset with an interest in leveraging smart, data-driven tools to improve diagnostic accuracy and lab efficiency.Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.A genuine passion for staying current with advances in diagnostic medicine and laboratory innovation.Licensing and CredentialsValid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license as a Consultant / Specialist Pathologist, or eligibility to obtain DHA licensure (Dataflow, license transfer, or new applicants supported).Recognized board certification or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Pathology from an accredited institution.Current Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and biosafety training/certification is an advantage.What We OfferA leadership role with real ownership over laboratory operations and direction.A collaborative, growth-oriented environment backed by 20+ years of institutional trust and stability.Investment in modern laboratory tools, systems, and continuous technology upgrades.Competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience.Opportunities for professional development and continuing medical education.
