Specialist / Consultant Psychiatrist | DHA | Dubai

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Consultant / Specialist Psychiatrist to join a reputed healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a broad range of psychiatric and mental health conditions. The role offers an opportunity to work in a professional, multidisciplinary environment focused on patient-centered care.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and clinical evaluationsDiagnose and manage a wide range of mental health and psychiatric conditionsDevelop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needsProvide medication management and monitor treatment response and potential side effectsProvide appropriate psychotherapy and counseling within the physician's qualifications and scope of practiceManage patients with depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other psychiatric conditionsAssess patients presenting with acute psychiatric symptoms and determine appropriate treatment or referralEvaluate suicide and self-harm risk and implement appropriate safety and management plansProvide ongoing follow-up and continuity of psychiatric careCollaborate with psychologists, therapists, counselors, nurses, social workers, and other medical specialistsRefer patients for additional psychological, neurological, medical, or specialized assessment when clinically appropriateMaintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical recordsCommunicate diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans clearly and sensitively to patients and familiesPromote mental health awareness, preventive care, and appropriate patient educationParticipate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiativesFollow DHA regulations, professional standards, ethical guidelines, and facility policiesRequirementsMBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.Recognized postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry.Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.DHA License or DHA Eligibility is preferred.Candidates meeting DHA eligibility requirements may also be considered.Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.Experience managing a diverse range of psychiatric and mental health conditions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong ethical standards and a patient-centered approach.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
