The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing critically ill patients, advanced life-support interventions, and intensive care procedures, with a commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and multidisciplinary care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)Manage patients with sepsis, septic shock, acute respiratory failure, ARDS, multi-organ dysfunction, and other life-threatening conditionsProvide advanced airway management, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, and respiratory supportPerform critical care procedures, including endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and other invasive interventions, where appropriately trained and authorizedManage hemodynamically unstable patients requiring vasopressor support, fluid resuscitation, and continuous monitoringEvaluate and manage patients with complex medical, surgical, neurological, and post-operative critical care needsParticipate in emergency resuscitation, rapid response interventions, and critical care consultationsDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory investigations, imaging, and continuous patient monitoringManage sedation, analgesia, nutritional support, infection prevention, and ventilator-weaning strategiesCoordinate advanced organ-support therapies, including continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), where available and within the authorized scope of practiceIdentify and manage ICU complications, including hospital-acquired infections, delirium, and organ dysfunctionCoordinate ICU admission, patient stabilization, transfer, discharge planning, and continuity of careCollaborate with anesthesiologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, surgeons, nephrologists, neurologists, and other multidisciplinary specialistsWork closely with ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient careCommunicate effectively with patients' families regarding clinical conditions, treatment plans, prognosis, and critical care decisionsMaintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with ICU protocols, infection control, clinical governance, and patient-safety standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care Medicine, or a recognized primary specialty with appropriate subspecialty training in Critical CareBoard certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualificationMinimum 3-5 years of relevant post-specialization experience, with substantial clinical exposure to intensive care medicineStrong clinical experience in managing critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditionsDemonstrated competence in mechanical ventilation, advanced airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and invasive ICU proceduresExperience managing high-acuity ICU patients and responding to critical care emergenciesEligible for MOHAP Specialist classification/license in Sharjah, subject to applicable qualification and experience requirementsExcellent clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-management skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern, well-equipped intensive care facilitiesCollaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
