The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients, including assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of complex and life-threatening conditions.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical-care expertise, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary ICU environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU and other critical-care settingsConduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients with life-threatening and complex medical conditionsDiagnose and manage acute respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal, infectious, metabolic, and multi-organ conditionsDevelop and implement individualized critical-care management plansManage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, renal replacement therapy, and other advanced critical-care interventions within the physician's scope and facility capabilitiesPerform and supervise appropriate critical-care procedures according to training, competency, and hospital privilegesManage medical emergencies, sepsis, septic shock, acute respiratory failure, cardiac emergencies, and multi-organ dysfunctionProvide airway management and participate in resuscitation and emergency response activities as requiredInterpret and integrate laboratory results, blood gases, ECGs, radiological investigations, and other diagnostic studiesMonitor patients continuously and adjust treatment plans according to clinical responseCoordinate care with emergency medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, nephrology, infectious disease, surgery, anesthesia, and other specialtiesCommunicate effectively with patients' families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, and goals of careParticipate in multidisciplinary ICU rounds and clinical case discussionsEnsure appropriate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and patient progressParticipate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, quality-improvement initiatives, and continuing medical educationEnsure compliance with DHA regulations, ICU policies, infection-control standards, patient-safety requirements, and hospital protocolsRequirementsQualificationsMBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institutionRecognized postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care Medicine, or an appropriate primary specialty with recognized critical-care training, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirementsRelevant specialist experience in critical careValid DHA Specialist license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain a professional license for practice in DubaiMeets the applicable UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) for the relevant Specialist titleCurrent professional registration and relevant Good Standing documentation, where applicableValid BLS/ACLS certification; additional critical-care certifications are advantageousBenefitsCompetitive salary packagePerformance-based incentives, where applicableMedical insurance and other benefits according to company policyContinuing medical education and professional development opportunitiesAccess to modern ICU facilities and critical-care technologySupportive multidisciplinary clinical environment
