Through professional development programs, mentorships and stretch assignments, we are committed to enabling you to grow and reach your full potential.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a Specialist, Data Centre Site Operations (DCSO) you will be responsible for managing and maintaining large-scale data centre infrastructure and facilities to ensure 24x7 operations in rotating shift environment.Work in rotating shifts to support large-scale data centre24x7 onsite operations and critical facilities.Monitor BMS systems (upstream to downstream), critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the data centre environment including fire safety, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.Act as the first responder and Level 1 escalation point for all onsite operational incidents and issues. Perform hands-on troubleshooting and ad-hoc repairs of mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment.Respond and perform all remote hands requests within the Operational and Service Level Agreements.Accurately document and update all relevant activities and requests in the ticketing system, including user requests, incidents, change, problems, provisioning, and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).Ensure effective implementation of data centre safety, security and customer support policy and procedures.Oversee onsite security operations, including processes, manpower and security software systemsCoordinate and support all internal contractors and vendors activities onsite, including reviewing of Permit-To-Work (PTW) documents, scheduling of resources, enforcement of house rules, adherence to best practices, compliance to safety procedures.Plan and support all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with minimal disruption to data centre operations. .Create accurate and regular reporting to internal stakeholders when necessary (incident reports, health reports, daily reports, etc.).Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Operating Procedures for DSCO related procedures and processes.Provide administrative support in assets inventory and procurement of parts/equipment.Assist with copper and fibre cabling deployment and troubleshooting.Coordinate and supervise the activities of contracted personnel performing work within the data centre.Coordinate all preventive/contracted/general maintenance, ensuring zero/minimum disruption of building servicesCarry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Team Leads and Management.RequirementsMinimum NITEC or Diploma in Computing/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related fieldsAt least 1 year of relevant work experience in a 24x7 DC of facility operations environment. Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications in building infrastructure are also welcome to apply.Possess general knowledge of M&E systems and Network Infrastructure.Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Broad knowledge in DC facilities related systems such as PDUs, UPS, DC Rectifier, Generator, DRUPs, CRAUs, Chiller, DX cooling, fire protections, etcRelevant facilities management and/or data centre related certifications, such as ITIL, CDCP, CDCS will be an advantage.Broad understanding of cloud technologies, networking, data centre facilities, system applications and IT systemsFamiliar with certification standards, such as LEED Gold, BCA-IDA Green Mark Platinum, Uptime Institute Tier III, ISO 20000 / 22301 / 27001, SS564, etc.Willing to be on 24x7 standby recall when additional manpower coverage is required.
