The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and management of patients presenting with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening emergencies, with a commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and high-quality emergency care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department (ED)Evaluate and manage acute medical, surgical, traumatic, and life-threatening emergenciesPerform rapid triage, clinical assessment, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patientsManage patients with cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, stroke, sepsis, shock, and other acute medical conditionsProvide advanced resuscitation, airway management, and emergency life-support interventionsPerform emergency procedures, including endotracheal intubation, vascular access, wound management, suturing, and other emergency interventions, where appropriately trained and authorizedAssess and manage trauma patients, including fractures, dislocations, head injuries, and other traumatic conditionsDiagnose and manage common emergency presentations, including chest pain, abdominal pain, altered consciousness, acute infections, and neurological emergenciesInterpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including ECG, X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, and laboratory resultsInitiate appropriate emergency treatment protocols and coordinate timely specialist referralsManage pediatric and adult emergency cases within the authorized scope of practiceParticipate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and trauma resuscitationCoordinate patient admission, observation, transfer, or discharge based on clinical assessment and treatment responseCollaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, surgeons, neurologists, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary specialistsCommunicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, emergency interventions, and follow-up careMaintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with emergency department protocols, infection control, clinical governance, and patient-safety standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, simulation training, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in Emergency MedicineBoard certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualificationMinimum 3-5 years of relevant post-specialization experience in Emergency MedicineStrong clinical experience in managing acute medical, surgical, and trauma emergenciesDemonstrated competence in advanced airway management, emergency resuscitation, trauma care, and emergency proceduresExperience managing high-acuity emergency department patientsValid BLS and ACLS certification; ATLS and PALS certification are highly desirableEligible for MOHAP Specialist classification/license in Sharjah, subject to applicable qualification and experience requirementsExcellent clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern, well-equipped emergency department facilitiesCollaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
