The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions, with a patient-centered approach to clinical care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disordersEvaluate and manage conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, gallbladder, and pancreasDiagnose and manage GERD, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, IBD, and other gastrointestinal disordersManage Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, and other inflammatory or malabsorptive conditionsDiagnose and manage liver diseases, including fatty liver disease, hepatitis, cirrhosis, and related complicationsEvaluate and manage pancreatic and biliary disordersPerform or assist with appropriate gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures within the scope of clinical expertiseConduct diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy where appropriately trainedPerform or coordinate biopsies, polypectomy, and other endoscopic interventions as requiredAssess patients with abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, altered bowel habits, nausea, vomiting, and unexplained weight lossProvide appropriate screening and surveillance for colorectal and gastrointestinal cancersDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory investigations, imaging, and endoscopic findingsCollaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nutritionists, and other specialistsProvide patient education regarding lifestyle, nutrition, medication adherence, and preventive healthcareMaintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with clinical governance and patient-safety standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, research, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine with Gastroenterology specializationBoard certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualificationMinimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in GastroenterologyStrong clinical experience in general gastroenterology and hepatobiliary disordersExperience in gastroscopy and colonoscopy is highly desirableExperience with therapeutic endoscopy is an added advantageEligible for DHA Specialist classification/license in DubaiExcellent clinical, communication, and patient-management skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern multidisciplinary healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
