قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجAbout the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Instructor - Elevator & Escalator Technology to join our Engineering Department in Qassim, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality theoretical and practical vocational training that prepares trainees for employment within elevator, escalator, moving walkway, facilities management, construction, and transport infrastructure sectors.The role combines technical instruction, hands-on workshop training, competency-based assessment, trainee development, workshop safety, curriculum support, and industry engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver classroom, laboratory, workshop, and practical training in Elevator and Escalator Technology.Prepare lesson plans, training materials, demonstrations, and practical activities in line with the approved curriculum.Deliver training in elevator, escalator, and moving walkway installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and commissioning.Teach relevant mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, and control-system principles.Train students in preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.Develop trainees' ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and work instructions.Conduct theoretical, practical, and competency-based assessments and provide constructive feedback.Monitor trainee attendance, progress, achievement, and practical performance and maintain accurate records.Maintain safe and effective workshop and laboratory environments, including PPE, lockout/tagout, safe-isolation, and risk-control requirements.Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, audits, continuous improvement, technical projects, site visits, and On-the-Job Training.Engage with employers and industry representatives to strengthen trainee workplace readiness and maintain industry relevance.Main Teaching Areas1. Applied Training & Industry PracticeQualificationsEssentialBachelor's degree or equivalent recognized qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Industrial, Elevator & Escalator, Vertical Transportation Engineering, or a closely related engineering/technical discipline.Relevant technical teaching or vocational training qualification, or willingness to obtain the required qualification.Relevant assessor qualification, or willingness to obtain the required qualification.PreferredHigher technical qualification related to elevators, escalators, moving walkways, mechatronics, or industrial maintenance.Manufacturer or industry training related to installation, maintenance, control systems, testing, or commissioning.Occupational health and safety certification relevant to engineering workshops or technical sites.Training or qualification in competency-based education and assessment.Experience RequirementsEssentialMinimum 5 years of relevant industry experience involving elevator, escalator, or moving walkway systems.Practical experience in one or more of: installation; preventive/corrective maintenance; mechanical, electrical, or control systems; modernization and retrofit; inspection; testing and commissioning; fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.Experience using technical drawings, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, test instruments, and service documentation.Strong practical understanding of safe working practices within elevator and escalator environments.PreferredPrevious teaching or technical training experience in a vocational, technical, industrial, or engineering environment.Experience delivering competency-based training and practical assessments.Experience supporting apprenticeships, internships, or On-the-Job Training.Experience within the Saudi Arabian elevator, escalator, construction, transport, or facilities-management sector.Technical KnowledgeTraction and hydraulic elevator systems; machine-room and machine-room-less configurations.Elevator mechanical and safety components; escalator and moving walkway components and systems.Motors, drives, controllers, sensors, relays, contactors, protection devices, and safety circuits.Electrical circuits, safe electrical working practices, basic PLC concepts, and control logic.Preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance; systematic troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.Inspection, testing, commissioning, quality requirements, and technical documentation.Technical drawings, layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, and digital maintenance/reporting systems.Advantage: Knowledge or experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Building Management Systems (BMS), BACnet, Modbus, or asset/maintenance management systems.Skills & CompetenciesStrong technical teaching and practical demonstration skillsClear verbal and written communicationCoaching and trainee-development capabilityTechnical problem-solving and attention to detailStrong safety awareness and accountabilityPlanning, organization, teamwork, and collaborationProfessionalism, integrity, fairness, and cultural awarenessCommitment to continuous professional development and learner/industry focusLanguage & Digital SkillsAbility to deliver technical training and prepare documentation in English.Ability to clearly explain technical terminology, safety procedures, drawings, and maintenance requirements.Arabic language capability is desirable.Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.Experience with digital learning, assessment, or reporting systems is desirable.
