Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe're Hiring | Specialist Interventional Cardiologist📍 Location: Sharjah💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Interventional Cardiologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah, UAE.The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases through catheter-based interventions, with extensive experience in coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and the management of complex cardiac conditions. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent procedural skills, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular conditionsPerform diagnostic coronary angiography and cardiac catheterization within authorized clinical privilegesConduct percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including coronary angioplasty and stent implantationEvaluate and manage patients presenting with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), myocardial infarction, and unstable anginaParticipate in emergency coronary interventions, including primary PCI for ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), where facility services permitAssess and manage patients with complex coronary artery disease requiring advanced interventional treatmentPerform catheter-based cardiovascular procedures using radial or femoral arterial access, as clinically appropriateInterpret relevant cardiac investigations, including ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, CT coronary angiography, and cardiac catheterization findingsUtilize advanced coronary imaging and physiological assessment techniques, including IVUS, OCT, FFR, and iFR, where appropriately trained and availableEvaluate patients for advanced coronary interventions and coordinate referrals for cardiothoracic surgery when requiredManage peri-procedural complications, including vascular access complications, arrhythmias, bleeding, and hemodynamic instabilityProvide comprehensive pre-procedural assessment, informed consent, and post-procedural follow-upDevelop individualized cardiovascular treatment plans based on clinical findings, diagnostic investigations, and evidence-based guidelinesManage cardiovascular risk factors, including hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, and other conditions associated with coronary artery diseaseCollaborate with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionalsEducate patients regarding coronary interventions, medication adherence, cardiac rehabilitation, lifestyle modification, and long-term cardiovascular healthMaintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with MOHAP regulations, cardiac catheterization laboratory protocols, radiation safety, and patient-safety standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, teaching, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, followed by appropriate subspecialty training in CardiologyRecognized fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Interventional CardiologyBoard certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualificationMinimum 3-5 years of relevant post-specialization experience in Cardiology, with substantial experience in interventional cardiologyDemonstrated procedural competence in coronary angiography, PCI, coronary angioplasty, and stent implantationStrong experience managing acute coronary syndromes and complex coronary artery diseaseExperience working in an established Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab)Eligible for MOHAP Specialist Cardiology classification/license in Sharjah, with appropriate interventional cardiology privileges, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirementsExcellent clinical judgment, procedural skills, communication, teamwork, and patient-management BenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern, well-equipped cardiology facilities with advanced cardiac catheterization and interventional technologiesCollaborative multidisciplinary cardiovascular healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
