We are seeking an experienced and qualified Specialist Microbiologist Physician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, investigation, monitoring, and management of infectious diseases through advanced microbiological testing and clinical interpretation. The role involves close collaboration with physicians, laboratory teams, infection-control specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret microbiological, serological, molecular, and antimicrobial susceptibility results.Provide clinical consultation on suspected and confirmed infectious diseases.Support physicians in selecting appropriate diagnostic investigations and antimicrobial therapy.Monitor and interpret culture results, including bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections.Advise on appropriate specimen collection, handling, transportation, and laboratory testing.Provide guidance on antimicrobial selection based on microbiology findings and resistance patterns.Participate in antimicrobial stewardship programs and promote appropriate antibiotic use.Support infection prevention and control initiatives within the healthcare facility.Investigate outbreaks and assist with epidemiological surveillance when required.Review laboratory quality-control and quality-assurance processes.Ensure microbiological investigations are performed according to established clinical and laboratory standards.Collaborate with laboratory technologists, pathologists, infectious disease specialists, and other clinicians.Maintain accurate medical records, reports, and documentation.Participate in clinical meetings, audits, case discussions, and continuing medical education.Stay updated on emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, diagnostic technologies, and current clinical guidelines.Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, patient-safety standards, and professional ethics.

Requirements
