Specialist – Data Science & Analytics The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join its Data Science & Analytics team. This role plays a critical part in supporting evidence-based decision-making across the education sector by delivering high-quality data analysis, regulatory reporting, data governance support, and strategic insights that inform policy development and Dubai's Education 33 (E33) agenda.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse and interpret data across KHDA sectors, including Schools, Higher Education Institutions, Early Childhood Centres, and Training Institutes.Prepare data-driven insights, executive reports, validation summaries, and analytical outputs for internal and external stakeholders.Manage and coordinate data requests, ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to service level agreements.Conduct data validation, quality assurance, root cause analysis, and data reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and reliability.Support data governance initiatives, metadata management, business glossary development, and documentation of data processes.Contribute to cross-government data sharing initiatives and data integration projects in alignment with Digital Dubai standards and Dubai Data Law requirements.Develop automated solutions and reporting processes using advanced analytical tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.Collaborate with business and technology teams to enhance systems, strengthen data quality controls, and improve reporting capabilities.Present analytical findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.Minimum RequirementsEducationBachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.ExperienceMinimum 4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related field.Experience in preparing executive-level reports and presentations.Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.Demonstrated ability to streamline and automate reporting and operational processes.Technical SkillsAdvanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and Microsoft Excel.Experience with Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools.Strong understanding of data quality management, validation techniques, and analytical methodologies.Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.Preferred QualificationsExperience within government, education, regulatory, or public sector environments.Knowledge of Dubai Data Law and data-sharing frameworks.Arabic language proficiency.What We Are Looking ForThe successful candidate will demonstrate:Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality.Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
