Specialist Oral Surgeon

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Specialist Oral Surgeon to join our dental and maxillofacial surgery team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide specialist surgical care for patients with complex oral and dental conditions, perform minor and major oral surgical procedures, and work collaboratively with dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, periodontists, and other medical specialists.The Specialist Oral Surgeon will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centred surgical care while maintaining high standards of clinical practice and professional ethics.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients requiring oral surgical intervention.Perform routine and complex oral surgical procedures.Perform surgical and complicated tooth extractions, including impacted and retained teeth.Manage impacted third molars and other impacted teeth.Perform apicoectomy and other periapical surgical procedures where indicated.Carry out pre-prosthetic oral surgical procedures.Manage oral infections, abscesses, cysts, and other surgical conditions.Perform biopsy and surgical removal of benign oral lesions when appropriate.Manage patients with oral soft-tissue and hard-tissue abnormalities.Provide surgical management of dental and oral trauma within the scope of practice.Evaluate patients using appropriate clinical examination and diagnostic imaging.Interpret dental radiographs, CBCT scans, and other relevant investigations.Provide appropriate pain management, infection control, and postoperative care.Identify and manage surgical complications and arrange referral when advanced multidisciplinary care is required.Provide clear preoperative and postoperative counselling to patients and their families.Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient medical and dental records.Coordinate treatment with general dentists and other dental and medical specialists.Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions for complex patients.Ensure appropriate informed consent is obtained before procedures.Follow infection-prevention and control standards at all times.Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies.Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement activities, and continuing professional development.Clinical DutiesThe Specialist Oral Surgeon may be expected to provide expertise be performed according to the specialist's training, privileges, scope of practice, and facility requirements.Patient Care ResponsibilitiesDeliver compassionate, respectful, and culturally appropriate patient care.Explain diagnosis, treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.Recognize medical and surgical emergencies and initiate appropriate management.Provide appropriate postoperative instructions and follow-up.Refer patients to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, ENT, oncology, or other appropriate specialties when the patient's condition exceeds the scope of practice.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Dentistry (BDS/DMD/DDS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.Recognized postgraduate qualification in Oral Surgery / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or an equivalent specialty qualification.Additional certifications or fellowships in oral surgery/maxillofacial surgery will be an advantage.ExperienceRelevant post-specialization clinical experience as an Oral Surgeon.Demonstrated experience in oral surgical procedures and management of complex dental cases.Experience in a hospital, specialist dental centre, or multidisciplinary dental practice is preferred.Required Skills and CompetenciesStrong clinical and
