We're Hiring | Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon📍 Location: Sharjah💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah, UAE.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic injuries, fractures, and degenerative joint conditions. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent surgical skills, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditionsDiagnose and manage fractures, dislocations, ligament injuries, tendon disorders, joint diseases, and degenerative musculoskeletal conditionsPerform elective and emergency orthopedic surgical procedures within authorized clinical privilegesConduct fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint reconstruction, and other orthopedic surgical procedures, according to training and expertiseEvaluate and manage patients with osteoarthritis, sports injuries, traumatic orthopedic conditions, and chronic joint disordersProvide surgical and non-surgical treatment for upper and lower limb conditionsManage orthopedic trauma cases, including complex fractures, soft tissue injuries, and post-traumatic complicationsAssess patients requiring joint replacement surgery and perform appropriate procedures where trained and credentialedInterpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and musculoskeletal ultrasoundDevelop individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation, diagnostic findings, and patient requirementsPerform comprehensive pre-operative assessments, surgical planning, informed consent, and post-operative follow-upIdentify and manage post-operative complications, including infections, delayed bone healing, implant-related complications, and joint stiffnessCoordinate rehabilitation and recovery plans in collaboration with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialistsProvide emergency orthopedic consultations and participate in trauma management when requiredCollaborate with rheumatologists, neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionalsEducate patients regarding orthopedic conditions, surgical procedures, treatment options, rehabilitation, and preventive careMaintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with MOHAP regulations, orthopedic surgical protocols, infection control, and patient-safety standardsParticipate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activitiesRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery / Orthopedics & TraumatologyBoard certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualificationMinimum 3-5 years of relevant post-specialization experience in Orthopedic Surgery is preferredStrong clinical and surgical experience in managing orthopedic trauma, fractures, joint disorders, and musculoskeletal conditionsDemonstrated competence in fracture fixation, orthopedic trauma procedures, and other relevant surgical interventionsExperience in arthroscopic surgery, joint reconstruction, or joint replacement procedures is highly desirableAbility to manage emergency and elective orthopedic cases independently within approved clinical privilegesEligible for MOHAP Specialist Orthopedic Surgery classification/license in Sharjah, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirementsExcellent surgical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-management skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary and attractive benefits packageMedical insuranceAnnual paid leave and other benefits as per UAE Labour Law and facility policyProfessional development and CME opportunitiesModern, well-equipped orthopedic surgical facilitiesCollaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environmentLicensing assistance available for eligible candidates
