The hospital is dedicated to improving health outcomes, facilitating access to quality care and addressing the unique needs of military personnel, their families, and the broader community in the Northern Emirates.Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital (SSBZH) is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Orthopedic Surgery with a strong background in Trauma Orthopedics. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive orthopedic care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, manage orthopedic trauma cases, participate in the on-call roster, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.Assess, stabilize, and treat acute orthopedic trauma cases, including fractures and musculoskeletal injuries.Perform orthopedic surgical procedures within the scope of specialty privileges and hospital guidelines.Provide timely consultation and management for emergency and trauma-related referrals.Participate in the hospital’s in-house on-call schedule and respond to orthopedic emergencies as required.Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care.Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine, ICU, Radiology, Anesthesia, and Rehabilitation teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.Support quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance initiatives.Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and continuing medical education activities.QualificationsMedical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.Completion of a recognized Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program.Relevant Specialist qualification recognized by DOH/DHA/MOH.Valid DOH license or eligibility for licensure in Abu Dhabi.Proven experience in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery, including management of complex trauma cases.Experience providing both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic services.Willingness to participate in an in-house on-call rotation.Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
