Specialist Physician - Acute Medicine | UAE

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Specialist Physician - Acute Medicine to join a reputed healthcare facility in the UAE.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in assessing and managing patients presenting with acute and complex medical conditions, with the ability to make timely clinical decisions and coordinate care across multiple specialties.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and manage patients presenting with acute medical conditionsConduct comprehensive clinical evaluations and establish appropriate diagnosesProvide timely treatment and stabilization for acutely unwell patientsManage a broad range of acute presentations including respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, neurological, infectious, and metabolic conditionsAssess patients presenting with chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, fever, sepsis, altered mental status, and other acute medical complaintsReview and interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, radiology, and other diagnostic studiesIdentify patients requiring emergency intervention, intensive care, or specialist referralCoordinate patient care with Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, ICU, Cardiology, Neurology, Surgery, and other relevant departmentsDevelop evidence-based treatment and monitoring plansMonitor patients' clinical progress and adjust treatment according to changing clinical conditionsPerform appropriate bedside procedures within the physician's training, competence, and approved scope of practiceProvide safe handover and continuity of care between clinical teamsMaintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential medical recordsCommunicate clinical findings, treatment plans, and prognosis clearly with patients and their familiesParticipate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiativesSupport appropriate admission, discharge, referral, and follow-up planningFollow applicable healthcare regulations, clinical guidelines, infection-control standards, and facility policiesRequirementsMBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine / Acute Medicine or an appropriate related specialty.Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.Strong experience in managing acutely ill adult patients.Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.Strong knowledge of acute medical management and patient stabilization.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
