Specialist - Statistics & Data Analysis

Job Purpose:Deliver Enterprise Command & Control (ECC) analytics for the RTA by producing official statistics,operating data systems and products, and maintaining matrices and requests per approved policies, procedures, and governance.

Roles and Responsibilities

StrategyCalibrate the ECC transport model using RTA and external sources; update models/databases; integrate road/public transport networks, demographic, and land-use information for scenarios, including emergencies and crises.Analyze transport-network performance indicators and road traffic data; prepare recommendations with relevant entities and the Strategic Planning Department.Develop and enhance the transport statistics matrix within the ECC and operational control centers per approved policies, operating procedures, data-governance standards, and the Technology Strategy & Governance framework.Develop and enhance the statistics framework in RTA in line with approved governance and methodologies.OperationsCollect, classify, and analyze transport-related data and statistics within the ECC and operational centers (roads, mobility, traffic, operational systems); provide decision-support insights per approved policies and procedures.Process and classify data in ECC systems; ensure availability for revising and improving quality to convert it into analyzable information for data-product development.Prepare analytical reports and studies through ECC data systems; share them with relevant internal entities to support decision-making and strategic planning of the transport network.Manage requests for internal and external data and statistics within the ECC and operational centers, ensuring compliance with RTA-approved data standards, strategic management frameworks, and governance practices.Update and maintain the statistics matrix within the ECC and operational centers by defining categories, classifications, sources, and periodic updates; organize the process to facilitate data exchange and knowledge-sharing across the RTA.Review and update RTA statistics in Dubai Digital systems (E-Sources) to ensure alignment with approved methodologies and releases.Validate and provide official statistics for the Chairman’s announcements, media releases,RTA delegates’ presentations, and the RTA Annual Book, ensuring accuracy and consistency with approved methodologies.Operate the transport data-product development system and use cases at the ECC and operational centers by leveraging big data to improve situational awareness and decision-making.Collect business requirements for use cases and dashboards; supervise delivery and review deliverables against business requirements; review and onboard new data sources from internal and external sources.Process and classify data in ECC systems; ensure availability and data quality.Product/Process ImprovementStrengthen analytics workflows and quality controls to convert data into analyzable information for ECC and operational-center data products; ensure continuous updates to models, databases, and analytics systems per approved standards.Disseminate knowledge and promote best practices in leveraging big data aligned with international best practices and stakeholder coordination.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or EngineeringExperience: 3+ years in case of Master’s degree (5+ years in case of Bachelor’s degree)
