Eden Bakery & Coffeehouse values quality, hospitality, and community, and looks for team members who share these values and enjoy connecting with people.Role Description The Specialty Coffee Barista is a full-time, on-site role based at Eden Bakery & Coffeehouse in Egypt. This role is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and other specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include operating coffee equipment, dialing in espresso, maintaining product quality, managing order flow, and providing friendly, attentive customer service. The barista will also support bakery operations by coordinating with the baking team, handling the point-of-sale system, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, organized coffee and service area. The role involves following food safety and hygiene guidelines, restocking supplies, and contributing to a welcoming environment that makes guests feel at home.Qualifications Possesses strong barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art basics, and preparation of a variety of specialty coffee drinks.Demonstrates knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and taste profiles, with an interest in specialty coffee and continuous learning.Shows excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact warmly with guests and handle busy periods calmly.Maintains high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety, including proper handling of equipment, ingredients, and workstations.Exhibits reliability and time management skills, with the ability to work full-time shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Works effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues in both coffee and bakery operations and contributing to a positive workplace culture.Previous experience in a café, coffeehouse, or hospitality environment is preferred; training in specialty coffee or barista courses is an advantage.Basic math skills and comfort using point-of-sale systems for cash and card transactions.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as lifting, stocking, and cleaning.Requirements:* Bachelor’s degree is required* Minimum 2 years of experience in speciality coffee* Commitment to working hours and punctuality* Ability to work efficiently under pressure* 9 working hours per day* Previous experience as a Barista (preferably in Specialty Coffee)* Excellent communication skills and customer service attitude* Passion for coffee and strong attention to detail* Ability to work effectively within a team and in a fast-paced environment* Non-smokerBenefits & Incentives:* Competitive salaries* Performance incentives and bonuses* Social insurance* Medical insurance* Stable work environment* Training & development opportunities* Career growth opportunities
