This role is responsible for preparing detailed technical specifications for interior design and architectural projects, ensuring product selections align with design intent, performance requirements, and budget constraints. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project drawings, coordinating with designers, architects, suppliers, and contractors, and maintaining accurate documentation of specified products and systems. The Specification Engineer will evaluate product options, verify compliance with relevant standards, and support the sales and design teams with technical guidance and project submittals. The role also involves attending client and site meetings, providing clarification on specifications, and supporting value engineering while preserving design quality.

Qualifications

Strong technical understanding of interior design and architectural products, including materials, finishes, and building components.Experience preparing specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation for commercial, residential, or public projects.Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.Proficiency with design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and standard office productivity software.Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and best practices related to interior fit-out and architectural solutions.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills to liaise with clients, designers, and suppliers.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; prior experience in specification or technical sales is an advantage.Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to the UAE market are a plus.Experience: Candidate must have prior experience in the fit-out or contracting industry Fresh Graduate candidates with qualifications in engineering, architecture, or interior design, having an eye for design aesthetics and a flair for sales & specifications
