Speech Language Pathologist

I am looking for a Speech and Language Therapist/Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist with experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and developmental communication difficulties.NOTE: This is work for a family, not a company. The individual is a 28-year-old male with a history of developmental delay in childhood. Current challenges include:

• Poor sentence comprehension despite above-average vocabulary and word-reading skills
• Difficulties with social communication and interpersonal interactions
• Reliance on learned or memorized phrases without always fully understanding context
• Low self-management and adaptive functioning skills
• Limited social development due to restricted social exposure over many yearsWe are seeking professionals who can conduct a thorough assessment and develop a personalized intervention plan focused on communication, social skills, adaptive functioning, independence, and quality of life.Recommendations received so far include programmes such as the Circles Programme, social skills training, and structured communication interventions. However, most available services appear to be designed for children, adolescents, or individuals with acquired conditions, making it difficult to find appropriate adult services.If you or someone in your network has relevant expertise, please feel free to reach out.
