Chief Executive Officer (CEO)About the CompanyENTICE is an emerging deep-tech spinout commercialising a proprietary manufacturing platform for next-generation millimetre-wave and sub-THz passive RF components and front ends. Our technology enables compact, high-performance devices that are difficult to realise using conventional manufacturing techniques. Our proprietary technology addresses rapidly growing markets including satellite communications, 6G cellular infrastructure, and fixed wireless access.The company is founded on world-leading research and will collaborate closely with a team of internationally recognised scientists and engineers, including senior researchers with significant experience at Nokia Bell Labs.The OpportunityWe are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven CEO who possesses a technical/scientific background to lead the company through its formation and early stages of growth. The successful candidate will work alongside the founding technical team to define strategy, secure investment, and build a scalable, high-impact manufacturing business.A key responsibility will be to engage with customers and industry partners to understand market needs, validate product-market fit, and identify the most promising commercial opportunities. These insights will shape the company's product and commercialisation roadmap. The CEO will also represent the company to investors, customers, and partners at major industry events and conferences, driving the company's international growth and market presence.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the company's strategic vision, business plan, and growth strategy.Lead fundraising activities, securing seed, Series A, and other public or private investments.Build and lead a high-performing commercial, operational, and technical team.Develop and execute the company's commercialization strategy, translating world-leading RF research into commercially successful products.Establish strategic partnerships with customers and industry leaders across telecommunications, space, defence, and related sectors.Engage with customers and end-users to validate market needs, shape the product roadmap, and identify new business opportunities.Establish scalable manufacturing, operations, and supply chain capabilities to support business growth.Represent the company with investors, customers, partners, and other key stakeholders, both nationally and internationally.Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Board, investors, and other key stakeholders.Essential CriteriaDegree in Engineering, Physics, or a relevant scientific field.At least 10 years' experience in commercial leadership, business development or executive management in semiconductors, telecommunications, aerospace, defence, photonics, or another deep-tech sector.Demonstrated leadership experience in a start-up, scale-up, or technology business.Established network of C-suite contacts.Proven experience in product strategy, product definition, and commercialization of technology-based products.Strong track record in fundraising, investor engagement, and securing public or private investment.Evidence of developing and executing business growth strategies that deliver commercial impact.Experience building strategic partnerships with customers, industry, and research organizations.Ability to operate effectively at the interface between research, engineering, and commercialization.Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and decision-making skills.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.Desirable CriteriaPostgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.Experience in RF, millimeter-wave, semiconductors, telecommunications, space, defence, or other deep-tech hardware sectors.Previous experience founding or leading a deep-tech start-up or scaling an early-stage technology company.Experience with international business development, strategic partnerships, and global market expansion.Familiarity with technology transfer, intellectual property management, and commercialization of research.Experience working with venture capital-backed or investor-funded technology companies.What We OfferA founding leadership role with significant equity participation and the opportunity to shape the company's future.The opportunity to commercialize world-class intellectual property in high-growth global markets.Access to leading research infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and an internationally recognized team of scientists and engineers.Support from Tyndall National Institute, UCC Innovation and Ireland's vibrant innovation, investment, and deep-tech ecosystem.A unique opportunity to build and lead a globally competitive Irish deep-tech company from its inception.EnquiriesInformal enquiries can be made in confidence to Dr Senad Bulja or Peter FinneganApplication DeadlineFriday, August 28, 2026.
